Well, here goes. I made an initial stab at creating this page a couple months ago, but got frustrated with my fat fingers banging on an over-sensitive, squirrelly keyboard and I put it aside.
Just three months away from retirement. Handed in my notice to retire from my final gig in a 50 year working life. I notified the Bishop lastt month of my intention to retire as the Chancellor of the Diocese of St. Augustine, effective 30 August.
I’ve barely begun to think about what I will do next, but of one thing I am certain; I plan to walk the Camino de Santiago, starting 10 September 2024, in Le Puy-en-Velay in the southwest of France and walk all the way to Santiago and Finisterre, finishing by 22 November. I will be walking in memory of my dear wife Cathy, who left us in early 2020.
