Camino de Santiago – Day 40 – Camino Frances

Here’s a short video and images from exploring Logroño.

Rest day in Logroño aka “Bum Knee Bummer”. To avoid a complete blowout of my right knee I took a rest day in Logroño.

In addition to rest, why not take in a bit of Logroño?  The city is full of surprises, with a lively city center and active nightlife. The Laurel/Alba/San Agustin block is a hive of pinchos eateries and bars serving up some wonderful little dishes some would call tapas, but here in the north of Spain are called pinchos. Those accompanied by the bold red Rioja Temperanillo wines make for an enjoyable dinner. It’s almost a pinchos culture. Tomorrow it’s on to Najera. Buen Camino
