Arrived in Portomarín early enough to attend Mass at Igrexa San Nicolás and rest. Tomorrow, hitting the trail for Palas de Rei. Santiago is only four days away. Buen Camino!

Portomarín, Spain, is a charming town in Galicia, with its most significant historical buildings, the Church of San Nicolás The main square, Plaza del Conde Fenosa, serves as a central gathering point, surrounded by charming streets and traditional Galician houses known for its scenic beauty and historical significance and it’s a popular stop on the Camino Francés.
The Igrexa San Nicolás in Portomarín, Spain, is a 13th-century Romanesque church. Built by the Knights of St. John, it looks like a fortress with towers and battlements. The church has a single nave, a semicircular apse, and a carved portal. It’s an important landmark for pilgrims on the Camino Francés.

The Igrexa de San Pedro in Portomarín, Galicia, is a beautiful Romanesque church dating back to the 10th century. It was consecrated by Rodrigo II, Bishop of Lugo. The church was carefully moved stone by stone to its current location when the Belesar Reservoir was created. It features a stunning facade with rounded arches and geometric motifs, and inside, you can find a 16th-century altarpiece and a stone tomb of the Marquis of Bóveda.
